How to wear Swim Goggles

Speedo Goggles

If you’ve been swimming for a while, you may know exactly which goggles you are going to buy when you go to the swim store. However, if you are a new swimmer or a new swim mom, you look at the choices and you’re completely overwhelmed!

  1. When choosing a good pair of swimming goggles it’s important to know how to wear them correctly. Here are a few things to think of when you are trying goggles out.
  2. Make sure all of the hair is out of your face. If hair gets stuck in the suction of the goggle, you will not get a good idea of if they fit your face or not.
  3. Raise your eyebrows and lift the top of the goggle under the entire eyebrow. Again, you want to keep all hair out of the way to ensure a good suction.
Gently push the bottom of the goggle down under your eye ensuring to get a bit of a suction.
  4. When trying goggles on, there’s no need to use the strap. If the goggles fit your face well, they will suction and stay on your face without the strap.

Eventually, when you are comfortable wearing goggles, and you have found the right pair for you, there will be no need to create a really strong suction. But, when trying goggles on, it’s a good way to choose the right ones for you.

If you cannot get to a swim store to try them on, or if your local store will not allow you to try them on, do not worry! There is one pair of goggles that we have found fits just about everyone! They are really well made and last a long time. They are called the Speedo Vanquishers. There are also, Speedo Jr. Vanquishers, Women’s Vanquishers and Optical Vanquishers and we carry them all! Also, if they don’t work for you, just send them back before you wear them in the pool with all of the packaging and we would be happy to give you a refund or swap them for a different pair.

So, now that you have nothing else to worry about, get in there and swim swim SWIM!
